Year 11 Leavers’ Ball

Year 11 officially ended their time at Mount St Mary’s with a wonderful Leavers’ Ball. The Village Hotel in Headingley was the setting to welcome students, who were dropped off by parents in Ferraris, Lamborghinis and even a hired American police car. As they arrived on the red carpet they were greeted by Nicole Walker, a brilliant singer who provided a lovely backdrop for their entrance and for photos. Students were dressed in sharp, stunning and diverse outfits and looked fantastic.

It was a grand affair, where all our students made the night a brilliant one through their energy and excellent conduct. They sat down to a delicious 2 course meal with all their friends to celebrate their time at Mount St Mary’s. After the meal, there were several hours of very energetic dancing and jumping around the dance floor. Camila and Kwame were voted the Prom King and Queen, Chryza was voted the best dancer and Betty was voted the most stylish. In between dancing, students loved making memories in the selfie mirror and on the 360 degree selfie machine.

At 11.30pm it was time to say our goodbyes to the Year 11s for a final time, as they departed for the next stage in their life journey. All the students know that the staff at Mount St Mary’s will always be here for them to offer words of support or advice.
