U16 Girls Football Cup Match

On Wednesday 8th November the U16 girls football team travelled to Dixons Trinity, Chapeltown, for the second round of the Leeds Schools cup. From the experience of the U12 and U14 girls football cup games, my advice for the team was to put the opposition under pressure from the moment the whistle goes and ensure they fight for every single ball. The girls did just that! Their desire and effort could not be faulted.

As a result, MSM were the first to score and it wasn’t long until the team started to pass the ball and play some good football. With a final score of 3-0, this is the first girls football team at MSM that I have coached and managed to get through to the quarter finals of the cup. It was an absolute pleasure to have taken this team and I am looking forward to seeing how we fair in the next round.
