St Gemma’s Hospice

The Year 8 students have once again demonstrated their incredible generosity and community spirit by raising a phenomenal amount of over £1500 for St Gemma’s Hospice, a Leeds-based charity providing expert care and support for local people with life-limiting and terminal illnesses.

They organised a range of activities, including a cinema evening, a bake sale and we even sold over 50 sweet cones, which proved very popular with the students!

The students also took their fundraising efforts to the streets of Leeds city centre, where they collected change from the public, spreading awareness about St Gemma’s charity and demonstrating their enthusiasm to make a difference in the wider community.

The year team would like to extend a massive well done to all the students who participated and contributed to this fantastic cause. Their hard work and generosity have not only made a significant impact on the lives of those in need but also show the community spirit within the year group.
