MSM Show – We Will Rock You

The sound of laughter, music, dance routines and applause finally returned to Mount St Mary’s after a two-year absence of a school show. The students truly highlighted the power of stronger together by producing a phenomenal production of We Will Rock You.

The students worked tirelessly learning lines, songs and dance routines, eventually performing like professionals to our largest audiences ever throughout the week. This included a transition performance of the best bits for 6 of our feeder primary schools. It is hard to believe that for 70% of our cast this was their first ever show. Despite being new to the stage, their talent shone through and they all looked like naturals. Starting with a fantastic rendition of Radio GaGa and ending with a Bohemian Rhapsody that even Freddie himself would have been proud of, the students rose to the challenge and created a fun filled night for all.

Our cast had over 50 students spanning Years 7 to 11, including a full student band. By working together, they brought the good times back to the stage and left the audience knowing that live performance is back at Mount St Mary’s.

Thank you to the students for the 6 months of rehearsals, the hours spent learning songs, lines and dance routines and thank you to everyone in our community for supporting the event.
