MSM Politics Day
On Tuesday 2nd July, all Mount St Mary’s students participated in a Politics Day, where they developed their understanding of how our political systems work. Students received an introduction to politics, as well as exploring how our voting system works and addressing possible solutions to local and national issues.
On Thursday 4th July, on the day of the General Election, students took part in a vote to decide on a major change to take place within school. The student turnout was significantly higher than the Leeds South turnout, which was only 42%. Students voted to upgrade the Walled Garden, which will be undertaken in the near future in collaboration with the Student Council.
