As part of a rewards initiative, 20 lucky Year 9 students won a place on a once in a lifetime trip to the capital city.
Students enjoyed two West End shows, stayed in the Royal National Hotel, travelled up the London Eye and down the Thames on a river cruise. Not only this but they managed to complete a workshop with an actor from the show and squeeze in a cheeky Nando’s along the way.
The students represented the school perfectly throughout the trip, with one member of Year 9 even suggesting sharing their spare lunch with the homeless, feeding 7 people in the process with such an amazing act of Retribuam.
The students were nominated by their form tutors for their hard work in Year 9 and then by their peers as part of a whole year group vote over three categories: Model Student, Good Friend and Most Improved From Year 7.
All students deserved their place and had a brilliant time. We can’t wait to continue rewarding students as they move into Year 10, as recognition of all the fantastic work they are putting in.
If you didn’t manage to get on this trip this time, keep an eye out for the launch of the trip again this year which will be open to all students across the school who study Performing Arts. Details of how to get a place on the trip and payment plans will be announced shortly.
