London Trip – Years 9, 10, 11
July saw the return of our annual Performing Arts residential to London. In the last two years the trip has grown in popularity with 40 students taking their place on the coach down to the capital city.
The intent behind the trip is to give students a taste of the Performing Arts industry and a chance to experience life in the West End.
The trip included fantastic experiences such as tickets to see Dear Evan Hansen and Frozen the musical, a workshop with a West End actor, a stay in the Royal National Hotel, a river cruise down the Thames seeing all the sights of London, a trip up the London Eye and even an evening meal at Nando’s.
The behaviour of all the students was impeccable, particularly when interviewing a West End actor and gaining vital tips for ways into the industry, and we cannot wait to take more students for the trip of a lifetime this July.
Students loved the trip stating:
“I loved that we got to experience theatre in person.”
“It was great to see what we can achieve one day”
“I loved meeting the actor because got to learn from someone with direct experience in the industry”
