Creative Lab Skills Workshops
Mount St Mary’s students continue to explore creative solutions to huge issues affecting us all through Applied Creativity Labs, developed by the charity IVE and delivered by Mr Lawson and Mrs Lisgo.
A group of 24 students took part in a series of workshops developing their skills and confidence before creating their final presentations with original ideas. After these sessions, a group of four students were invited to a final presentation event in Bradford.
Congratulations to Harry and Joshua from Year 9 and Ikjot and Priscilla in Year 8 who represented MSM in front of academic experts from a range of European countries, receiving a huge round of applause for their innovative ideas.
From IVE:
“Thank you and the students so much for coming to Bradford to the event to mark the end of the ACL programme that you have been so heavily involved in. Your commitment and clear appreciation of the value of teaching for creativity is wonderful. The students were exemplary and genuinely gave us hope for finding creative solutions to Food Waste and Deforestation.”
Mr Lawson would like to thank all students who took part in the Applied Creativity Labs and those who presented, demonstrating our school values and their tireless efforts in their presentations.
